Africa has been central to my life since I was a child and I have been crazy about the continent ever since I set foot on it.

At the same time, it is a land ravaged by disease, poverty, degradation and death.

Africa is a place of contradiction—it is a land full of culture, life, beautiful people and breathtaking scenery. At the same time, it is a land ravaged by disease, poverty, degradation and death. As I think about the world and who we are as humans, I wonder if it will be etched in history that our generation watched a continent fall to utter collapse, as we stood by.

I believe God will judge us for the state of the world today; for what we did and what we could have done. It is this realization that has driven me to outrage and led me to be a part of the generation that will do something for the people of Africa.
